Raising from many investors is easy. Paying them back is harder.
Our custody infrastructure is built to process distributions to your investors.
What North Capital distributions do for issuers
Distributions to a large number of individual investors are a normal part of private offerings. We know why you’re paying them out and have the infrastructure to process them.
Paying through custody accounts reduces the risks that come with sending funds to a long list of external bank accounts.
Three steps to pay your investors
An authorized signatory completes our account application. Once our team reviews and approves it, the account is open, typically within 1–2 business days.
Wire at least the total amount of the distribution plus any applicable fees into the custodial account, referencing your custodial account number.
Submit a distribution request through the North Capital Portal. Then track the status of your distributions in the portal as they are processed.
Send funds out, or keep them working
North Capital can pay distributions directly to investors' bank accounts, or into their North Capital custody accounts.
Distributions are sent straight to each investor’s bank account, without your bank having to process a large batch of ACH payments to individual investors.
Distributions land in investors’ North Capital custody accounts, where funds stay on the platform and can be redeployed into future offerings.
Consolidate your cap table, too
Holding investor positions in North Capital custody also consolidates your cap table under a single holder of record.
Schedule a conversation with our team to discuss your investor base and distribution needs.
