Custody for alternative assets
Custody solutions built for private markets: fast onboarding, clean reporting, and regulatory-ready workflows. North Capital Private Securities (NCPS) provides API-driven custody solutions purpose-built for the complexities of private markets, enabling advisors, investors, fund managers, sponsors, and issuers to move faster without compromising operational efficiency, compliance, or process integrity.
Public-market custody is standardized. Alternatives aren't.
Alternative investments come with different subscription docs, distribution mechanics, holding structures, investor eligibility requirements, and sponsor expectations. Here's how the friction points get handled:
Issuers, fund managers and sponsors need reliable records and a consistent investor experience across alternative investment offerings.
NCPS custody consolidates the cap table under a single FBO structure, giving issuers and fund managers a consistent investor record.
Advisors seek a custody model that supports internal oversight and meets requirements under the Custody Rule.
Alternative assets are held in custody by North Capital, affording advisors compliance with the custody rule, consolidated reporting and the ability to charge fees on AUM.
Repetitive forms, back-and-forth emails, and fragmented systems increase drop-off and delay funding.
Integrated KYC, AML, and accredited investor verification move investors from interested to funded without repetitive forms.
When investors and advisors can’t easily track account activity, statements, and documents, trust erodes.
Investors and advisors get live access to account activity, statements, and documents through the North Capital Portal.
Maintaining and updating investor banking instructions creates operational and compliance burdens, and distributing proceeds directly to external bank accounts removes assets from the platform ecosystem, reducing opportunities for reinvestment.
Direct distributions to investor custody accounts, enabling investors to seamlessly redeploy funds into future offerings while simplifying account administration and reducing payment-related risks.
